The last act of the RePLAY 2.0 project was completed with a Multiplier Sport Event and a partners meeting in Barcelona, hosted by project partners UFEC.
The meeting was attended by all partners: Big Bang Ballers from France , the Fare network from the Netherlands , GEA Coop Sociale from Italy , Sports Federation Union of Catalonia from Spain , the Universities of Belgrade from Serbia , Maia from Portugal and Umea from Sweden and of course project lead Margherita Sport e Vita from Italy .
The multiplier sports event was attended by more than 40 participants: men and women, athletes, coaches, academics, volunteers and executives from sports clubs and federations, organisations and NGOs. They received an introduction to the project and its activities by UFEC and MSV with a particular focus on the best practice collection of collaboration between sports universities and grassroots sports organisations. They also had the opportunity to speak to and hear the story of the mentors and mentees of the organisations participanting in the project.
At the end of the meeting, participants and partners recognised the project as good practice in the field capable of successfully promoting “Academic-based sports mentoring” by fostering dialogue between mentors and mentees with a greater awareness of the approach methodology in sport and in the study.
